I just inherited a very nice condition TOZ or TO3-17 from my late father in law. I never saw him fire this in the 24 years I knew him and it looks basically brand new. From what is remembered he purchased it sometime in the late 70’s.

Anyway, I’m looking for suggestions as to a somewhat period correct scope for it. I was thinking maybe a Bushnell scope chief 1.5-4.5x20 but maybe there are other options that would be more appropriate?

Also, anyone know of a source for a spare mag or 2?

Be nice to get a Russian target scope... second choice would be maybe a Weaver J4 or a Weaver K series, they had a longer eye relief.

Even an old Redfield with extended eye relief would look okay.

If it's got the original iron sights, I'd leave it alone and shoot it as is.

I used to have one of those 37 years ago. It came with a scope mounted and was quite accurate.

The iron sights for it were missing, so I had no other option but to use the scope.

I guess I'm dating myself, but it used to shoot Imperial .22 LR's really well.

FWIW, here's an iron-sighted TOZ-17 at 300 yards:
