Hey, I want to put a scope on my all original #4, just wondering what you guys are using. I already made a fine mount myself out of angle iron, the mounting holes I drilled in the reciever didn't seem to hold all that well so I welded it too. She ain't budging now.

Ha! Gotchya! Seriously though, once you get off the floor... I've got a cad technik coming and I'm looking at the Bushnell elite 3200 10x40 mildot, as far as features. Can't, and don't want to, blow my wad on a Leupold mk4 or something for this baby, just some decent workhorse glass. Any other suggestions?

I almost #### myself at your first paragraph.

~Angel~ on the forums here uses older Weaver 4x scopes on her No.4's to simulate the classic sniper scope. If you're looking for style I'd go in that direction. If you're hunting with the old girl I'd just go with whatever suits you, whether it's a fixed 4x or an adjustable, check the optics exchange forum for something second hand maybe.

I should ad, that I use a Bushnell 3200 eiet for hunting moose and deer with my BLR 7mm-08. It's a 1.5-5X magnification and I've never had anything go wrong with it, it's a great scope if you're looking fr something to drop game with.

I've been using a 2.5x Ruko thats been working out fine for what I"m using it for .
I usually shoot 100yd targets and hunt Bruce County's cedar swamps in the fall .
The No4 looks better with a smaller scope anyhow :D IMHO ;)

Ddddddddd

Good one odd !!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto for the old Weaver. They are good quality scops and can be found at gun shows around my neck of the woods for $30- $50
