I was getting ready to head out for my last crack at ducks last week and opened a box of Score brand 2 3/4 inch shotshells with #3 shot and unlike all my other Score #3 shells with black hulls , they were red. They had "Score" printed on the hull but the brass was stamped Fiocchi.

What is that all about?

I have also heard they use fiocchi components, can't confirm though. I can say I'm a fan of score shotshells though. Price is right and I've had zero issues in about 750 steel shells

I was told by a very top of the game shooter in SK who is sponsored by and works closely in target load development with the people at Score that they use Fiocchi hulls for their ammunition. I am betting when they run out of bases to seat the hulls in they probably source bases from Fiocchi as well or maybe when they are unable to keep up to production requirements they source loaded ammunition from Fiocchi and have the Score name printed on it?

They absolutely do not source loaded ammo from Fiocchi.
