So, a Score semi 12g just popped up on my local classifieds for 380 dollars. Looks to have nice checkering and engravings in the wood. The receiver looks like a phosphate finish.

I tried searching for this gun...but there seems to be no info available.

Can someone shed some light for me?

Had one that went West just recently. That one had an engraved receiver though. They are basically a Huglu(Turkey) and were a custom run for score. As my shotgun guru said to me " It's a Beretta" chokes, action and gas system are identical. Huglu makes the same gun for CZ, Weatherby etc. I only used the gun for 2 rounds of sporting clays and function was fine. They do like the lube though. Price seems reasonable.

As a test just take a handful of assorted shells, Light thru heavy, and see if it cycles. Did this with the one I had and at first FTE were an issue but the gun was dry, as most semi's like. After a strip and lube function was flawless. For the money if you can test it prior I don't see an issue. They are a little on the heavy side for me but so was my 11-87

I've read very good things about these Turkish guns, in all the different brand names they are sold under.

Love the Turkish guns.... The wood is nice.... Solidly built, nice fit and finish..... They arent Brownings or berettas, but they aren't baikals either..... A very nice midpoint option for an Uplander like me that won't be putting several thousand rounds through their gun.... If I get more than a passing interest in skeet and trap, I will buy a b gun.... Otherwise, my Turks fit my needs just fine....
