Scored a box of surplus .303

Picked up this box of surplus .303 British ammo today. 1943 head stamp as well as C broad arrow marked. I know, I know, some of you guys probably have sheds full of the stuff but it's rediculous hard for me to find any of it. Happy to get this box for way less than the price of modern boxed ammo.

It's 48 rounds that can never ever be reproduced. Just keep it especially if it's a full box. It's Canadian made too. I'd put it on the shelf and forget about it forever. Better yet with the money you saved go buy a Lee starter kit, some powder, primers, bullets and dies and reload the other 303 cases you've already shot. Your reloads will be even cheaper than this stuff was, won't be corrosive or hang fire from old age.

.303 Armour piercing was still available in the late 1970s to early 1980s.

Canadian made, DA with large Berdan primers- corrosive and difficult to reload due to primers. But i have some too, and plan to shoot it, just make sure you clean well after use.

The best .303 Ball I've ever fired was 1944 DA. Suspect that any collector that wants it, has it. Now. Won't be that way for much longer. Mind you, that box stopped being collector stuff when the box was opened.

Isn't the 1943 dominion non corrosive boxer? I thought we were making it this way since wwI

The DI marked ammo is the boxer primed non-corrosive ammo. Another thread on the go , somebody else found some of that too

I am wrong. I checked some DA 1943 and 1945 cases I have and they are indeed berdan
