Anyone have experience with the Scorpion Slugger? If so what's your review of it?

If I knew how I'd make a poll but I'm new to the forum. What's your favorite shotgun scope of the three mentioned and why? Little difference in price in the 3, is it worth the investment?

Thanks lads!

I'd remove the scorpion from the list if it were me. I've looked through a couple. Pure junk imo. Not sure on the other two but if there price is comparable I would feel like the Leopold is less of a gamble.

i have the Nikon slughunter as well as 2 of there muzzleloader scopes. good glass, great eye releaf and have held zero for years now perfectly. very impressed.

a friend has the leupold cause some salesman told him the Nikon would never hold up. yes im sure Nikon would market it as a slug gun scope if it wouldn't hold up. he spent over twice the money on the leupold. eye relief is less that I did notice and may be an issue for some.

Either leupold or burris rings. I think the ultimate slam has been replaced by new freedom line. Same reticle, but glass not as good and price is about $100 less as well. I have the Nikon 2-7x32 on my slug gun and always wanted the slug hunter but am turned off by the bdc circles. In the process of getting a new slug gun and will be trying a bushnell trophy DOA 200. Glass not as good as Nikon but I like the reticle and on sale for a third of the price of the Nikon. If the bushnell doesn't hold up I'll likely try the new freedom slug scope as its priced closer to the slughunter now. I have faith in the trophy as I'm going from a 12ga pump to a 20ga semi so the recoil shouldn't be an issue.

A reg quality ring is plenty for a slug gun, Leupold prw or Burris zee rings are my go to rings for anything I have a scope on. Have had no issues with anything moving under recoil once properly torqued with a torque screwdriver.
