So I have been kicking an idea around for a little while. I want to build a semiautomatic .22 with a forward mounted scope, mostly just for plinking.
I want to use the 10/22 action, mostly because I have some parts around that I can use.
I as thinking of getting a .920" green mountain bull barrel and having a 'smith drill and tap some holes to mount a rail.
Other options include the Amega and UTG rails, but I can't seem to find a source for the Amega, and the UTG is a little ugly.
Does anyone have ideas or parts suggestions?
