Scout mounting solutions for Stevens 200?

I tried posting this in Optics, but I don't think it gets enough traffic, as nobody has answered.

I'm trying to make an el-cheapo scout-style rifle with a Stevens 200 (.223) for romping through the woods around here.

I need my long eye relief scope to clear the bolt area, as I am going to mod the rifle to accept stripper clips.

Does anyone know of either a scout-style base for the Stevens 200, OR if a relatively cheap AR cantilever mount would work for this purpose?

I think B square makes the mount for the savage scout ,it should bolt right on to a stevens. Ashley enterprises makes a tubular scout mount as well but I think the installation is a bit more involved .
