are these any good in general? who makes a good one? i'm looking at getting a yugo m48 and kinda like the idea of the long eye relief scope concept, just curious whether these no gunsmithing deals hold zero

I have a S&K mount on an Isreali Mauser. It works. And it holds zero. You need a decent scope, mine is a Leupold 2.5X It does make it easier then Iron sights to make a shot, the thing is that you are only 2.5 times finer an image, center of mass shots are the rule. I have a second Isreali mauser still with the iron sights. If I shoot groups at 100y with military ball, the groups look the same, iron sights or scout scope. It's just easier with the scope.
