Scraping gun registry and 500+fps airguns.

I got interested about the subject of buying 500+fps airguns from US.
Since we still have the registry the steps supposed to be;
check if it isn't prohibited, buy it, call to register it, declare it/pay duty etc at border, done.

I am curious as of what will happen if the gun registry is finally gone?

Since it will not need to be registered, and US doesn't consider it
as weapon, could it be as simple as;
check if it isn't prohibited, buy it, declare it at border, pay duty
if applicable, and that's it?

Did I miss something? It sound too simple!

"...pay duty..." And taxes. HST. Don't think there are any prohibited air rifles. Usually not worth the effort to import an air rifle though.

The ones with built in moderators are prohibs like the Benjamin marauder in effect silencers.............Harold ........and pistols over 500fps are restricted

The talon ss is prohibited. And as of now if its over 500fps you need an import and export permit. Not just simple a lot of paper work and fees
