Scratched Scope Tube by Mounts

Anyone know if regular spray paint will do just fine on the cover up? Anyone also know what type of spray paint and where to go/what brand?

The damage is not severe enough to bend the tubes etc. but you can see some aluminum....

Scope finishes are applied by fairly sophisticated processes.

Rather than trying to spray paint the entire scope, I'd take a very fine paintbrush, or even the flat end of a toothpick, and some flat or gloss black and just touch up the marks where aluminum is exposed.

Odds are, try painting the whole scope with some off the shelf paint bomb, probably ain't gonna look so hot.

And that finish will never stand up to the kind of abuse a baked on or anodized factory finish will.

Thanks for the update. Some people online say use Krylon or even Duracoat..... but that's just for general camouflaging of the whole rifle AND scope too.

Before mounting the next scope on that rifle try lapping the rings first.
