I have a couple of minor scratches in the synthetic stock of my Ruger. They are cosmetic and nothing too major. Is there a trick or process that will get them out. I know wood can be sanded and refinished but what about these plastic stocks ?

Thanks in advance for all the advice

try a autobody supplyshop for plastic rubbing compond

You can try polishing them out with a cloth wheel and jeweller's rouge. Or filling them in with epoxy. Epoxy dries clear.
"...so you can scratch them and not care..." Have you seen the price of a McMillan stock?

You can use epoxy and add colouring dye. Or you can try using Ptex (skiers and snowboarders will know what this is)

My advice? Think that your gun just got more character and forget about cosmetics. After all, it's a Ruger, for God's sake.
