Hello all. I've been lurking here for a while but harvest and other annoying Real-Life™ activities have kept me from posting. I've been shooting for over 30 years, but haven't been very active for the last decade or so. The collection is pretty basic, with the usual rimfire pistols and rifles, Mini-14 plinker, a few shotguns and a couple of centerfire pistols.

Needless to say I've found this to be a great and informational site, and hope to move from lurking to participating once things slow down around here.

It's never too late to re-invigorate the ol' hunting and shooting interests. I took 20 years or so off between my youth-shooter phase and my adult-shooter phase, too. As it turned out, it was a passion of mine that I hadn't come to terms with.

It can be a little hard on the wife and kids when Dad suddenly wants to spend all his time sneaking through the bush - but your dog'll figure you finally came to your senses!!!:p

If you're like me, your collection is in for a major refresh. Don't fight it - it's an irresistable force - kinda like gravity.

Thanks all!

Yes it is Harold, yes it is. {sniffle} Amazing how the chances of it raining are inversely proportional to my desire for it. ;)

I built a little pistol...errrr.... rimfire rifle range and target box out back and have put the better part of a thousand rounds out of the new Glock ...errr.... 10/22 (amazing how I keep getting those two mixed up) so far. Yesterday was a very good day, with over 500 rounds of various calibers going downrange as I get back into the swing of things.

Now I'm trying to remember just why I ever stopped shooting. It's still fun with a capitol F. :D
