Screw interferes with M70 bolt

After tightening down the guard screws on the underside of my Winchester Model 70 stock, I noticed that the bolt became tougher to operate . I soon realized that the front guard screw passes through into the action and that the end of the screw was rubbing slightly against the bolt lug. What should I do? File down the end of the screw a bit? Put some sort of spacer under the floorplate hinge? What would the pros do?

File a thread or two off the screw.

File the screw down till it is 1 or 2 threads below the top of the hole then put some cold blue on it.

No, no.....grrrrrind the bolt down just kiddin' man, of course you file the screw down.
