I finally got the Volquartsen accurizing kit installed for my Ruger Mark IV tactical.
According to Volquartsen official installation video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAwCck7EGSc), the sear part is like: sear, spacer and sear spring, threaded together by a sear pin.
However, I found there is literally no room for the spacer. All these 3 parts are metal and they are not flexible in dimension.
After struggling for a couple of hours, I decided to ditch the spacer.
Now it's completed, dryfire feels good, the trigger is very light and crisp.
I don't feel any rattling sound around the sear and/or hammer part.
Why is this spacer included, is it really needed? Or is it for 22/45 only?
I saw couple of unofficial video like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB9EmYwDyzg, the guy didn't install sear spacer, he didn't even mention it. And I can literally see the wiggly roomy between sear and sear spring. But it seems it doesn't hurt anything at all.
Anyone with this pistol and kit have had similar experience to share?
