I've posted some of these on other web sites but since I have been Gunnutz member much longer than other forum memberships I thought I wound give you guys the full meal season summery;)

This year was really good to me and my family, I was in on some great hunts and we came away with some awesome memories and in my books some great animals. All in all I took 9 weeks off for hunting this year:) I probably learnt more this year about hunting than I have for the last 14 years of hunting combined, its all really starting to come together. Years ago I would have to shoot the first legal animal I seen because it was probably going to be the only one I would see. This year I am happy to say that I passed up a bunch of smaller animals

First hunt was for elk, sweet LEH draw which was a hell of a good time. Tons of bugling and elk action. I hunted hard for 2 solid weeks with my dad looking for a monster bull and he decided to pull the trigger on this average 7x7 the day I left for moose hunting:confused: We had seen bigger bulls but weren't able to get a good shot. Nice end to a great hunt. Pardon the plastic surgery:) M70 7x57, 160 gr noslers 300 yard broadside

The next hunt was for my wifes moose, I had the draw for the same area last year and knew the area better. On the 4th morning we connected with this guy. Called him in with the Coffee can call that was given to us the day before by some guys whom we helped pull there bull out of the bush. Thanks to 700 ft of rope, a few pullys and my diesel pickup we had him loaded whole in 5 hours. m70 .270 160 gr noslers 150 yard head shot

The next hunt was a region 4 daytrip with my brother, we actually passed this guy up earlier in the day hoping to find a bigger one but as the day wore on, and since I hadn't shot a mulie before I decided to take him. We hiked up to were we thought he would be going when we seen him earlier and it turns out we were right. m700 300 ultra mag 180 gr noslers 40 yard head shot

Next sucessful hunt I managed to connect with this guy in region 3 on the last day with about 1 1/5 hours to spare of shooting light. His girlfriend gave him away, he was bedded and when I seen her I just looked around for him.
Counted his tines and boom. m700 300 ultra mag 180 gr noslers 200+ yard head shot, oh yeah baby.:D Best mulie to date. But I've only shot two:rolleyes:

After the last hunt I was back at home region 4 going for whitetails. Passed up some smaller bucks throughout the week. Changed my technique and stopped rattleing and buck gunting and just doe bleated. Worked like a charm. Called this guy in to about 50 yards. He was following some does that had just filed passed me a few minutes earlier. m700 338 win mag 250 gr noslers 50 yard broadside shot. Best whitetail to date unfortunatly he was a scrapper and broke off a tine

Can't wait to see what the 375 H&H will do next season. Hopefully I get a Grizz draw, but if not it'll still come elk hunting
