And not a bad one at all!

As much as I hate the last day afield, I find myself looking back rather fondly over this past fall.
The Goddess of the Hunt was obviously not too upset with me it seems, and our crew certainly enjoyed some very fine times as a consequence! Lots to revisit & recall over the coming winter, and lots of fine grits to see us through that.

Damn Thankful for the bounty, and of course the privilege of getting out there so much in pursuit thereof!
Already looking forward to, and making plans for next year!

Congrats on a great season, I can’t find much to complain about on my end either. Freezer is full and I had more fun than last year, so that’s a win in my books. I shot a ton of grouse and will try and get on the gates over the winter, big game might be closed but the season isn’t over yet.

Indeed was a grand season all round.

Now getting to the final touches with some of it... Bear Pepps & Smokies yesterday:

By the time I finish cutting up the dry doe today, both inside freezers will be firmly capped!
I foresee some rather fine meals in our future!!
