Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me - I tried out my new 6.5 prc die with berger 156gr eol bullets. First few loads I noticed the tip of the bullet was being flattened when I used the bullet seating die, so I tried the other seating stem in the die set. That eliminated the deforming tip problem but then with this seating stem it was almost like the bullet was digging into it as when I brought the bullet out of die it felt like it was stuck. When I ran my finger across the bullet I could feel this circle around the bullet where it was seated by the seating stem. It wasn't significant, but I could feel it.
Is this going to effect accuracy?
What's the difference between the 2 seating stems that come in the hornady custom die set?
Is there a different seating stem I should get? (I see hornady makes one for there a-tip bullets to avoid flattening that bullet tip)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Bye for now,
Ian
