As I understand it the cz/vz we have in Canada are prohibited in the States, so theirs have to have US made receivers...therefore theirs cost more than ours and are not worth importing when we have cheap czech models.

What they said. We can buy the regular version and dress it up however we want. My american friends on another forum had never seen or heard of this rifle and were a little jelous.
