So this expert produced a series of video on how he restores an intact C Broad Arrow red-painted U.S. Model of 1917.

I love the way he strips all the original finish off to the bare wood, then admires the sharp edges saying they've never been sanded.

Here's video number one where he shows the state of the rifle before he makes it nice again.

I am sure the rifle look nice after the restoration, but the history of the weapon was wiped clean. Little thing's like the 30-06 printed on the red band so it would not be confused with the similar 1914 rifle in the rack, and the broad arrow C stamping was not as noticeable after the boiling water treatment. If it had been mine, I would of just done a good cleaning of the rifle leaving the history intact. I have seen some Vulcan restorations and they look great, but end up looking like new.

This rifle is a parts gun guys.... The two tone park on the action gives it away, these were barreled actions given to Denmark post war. They came into Canada years ago, some were sold off about 10 years ago new, parked, and in the wrap, 99% were all from 1918.

The stock obvisiouly is not and eddystone, Canadian yes but made by winchester. Mix master at best.

Nick does good work, he does what any gunsmith does, what the customer wants him to do....
