Seeking #9 shot in Vancouver region

Hi All:

I've been shooting trap since the summer and skeet since the fall, using #7.5 and #8 shot exclusively. But recently I went out shooting sporting clays for the first time (excellent fun), and I decided that it was time to add #9 shot to my repertoire. (Damned mini clays...!)

I've searched around the Vancouver area's usual stores (Reliable; Italian; International; Wholesale Sports; etc), but none of them stock #9 shot. I even tried Canadian Tire (and felt dirty afterwards). I'm not reloading my own yet, so I can't go that route.

Would anyone know of a source for #9 12-gauge shells in the Vancouver / Lower Mainland? If there's none local, I'm not even certain who to buy from mail-order. I've gone through the websites of the gunnutz sponsors, but can't seem to find #9 shot listed on them, either, though it could just be that I'm not spotting it. (Wholesale Sports lists them, but when you click on the buy option, the site pops up a warning that it would take them a while to actually get them.)

Cheers

#9 shot rules out the promotional ammo out there, as they are 7.5 and 8 only.

Last time i was in reliable, two weeks ago they had Remington STS 12ga #9 shot sitting on the shelf at the back of the store.

Other than that special order or learn to reload.

Several months ago I bought a couple of cases of Clever Mirage from Italian Sporting Goods in #9.5 European size which I think is about the same as #9 North American. Very soft recoil on these by the way.

Something to think about, if I don't find any standard size.

learn to reload, nobody stocks #9 in cheap shells, so I have found

Indeed, when I finally located #9 in the area (at Reliable, even though the first clerk I talked to claimed they had none), they were $10.99 a box. Premium hulls though -- the reloaders wanted mine after I shot.

Remington Gun Club has a #9 loading. I have hand loaded them but now I don't. I have too much inventory of loading components. I also carry too much stuff on the sporting range so now I shoot most stations with #8 and just carry a few 7 1/2. If I had someone to carry my ammo I might add #9. I don't think I have lost any mini targets because of shot size.
