Seeking info on West German SIG P220 .45ACP

I picked up this pistol recently and have been trying to learn more about it. The information available seems to focus on the pistols imported and marketed into the USA which this one doesn't appear to be a part of. It's a SIG P220 made in West Germany in (from what I could find) 1977 and chambered in .45ACP with a heel mag release. Does anyone know if these were imported into Canada in this configuration? It's possible that the previous owner (who I unfortunately can't contact) brought with him to Canada as he immigrated from West Germany in 1979. I also can't find any indication of the value of a pistol like this in Canada, what do these go for?

I have a consecutive numbered pair of them in the box.
Allen Lever imported them. A good deal at the time because
the Americans like the push button magazine release.
 
I had one. Paid $430 for one back in 1987 from Lever Arms, like can14! In fact, can14 bought 2 of my mags from that gun.
The P220 W. German guns were definitely imported back then. The Browning BDA is the exact same gun, with the spur hammer and the heel mag release and was also sold here.

I really loved mine but sold it to buy an AR. It was awesomely accurate. I missed it so much, i recently bought another. However, the new ones somehow lost the magic of my old W. German gun.

I’ve seen these older SIGs sell for between $6-700 at local gun shows depending on condition.
The 220 was also made in 9mm, .38 Super as well as a few oddball European non-military calibers.
 
They have been imported to Canada for a very long time, even under the Browning brand name before Sig Sauer was a thing in North America. This one is in my safe and was imported in 1977.
