Description: im selling my 1895 krag jorgensen rifle i need this gone. there is no bolt i have pictures but wont load onto computer am able to text the pictures to you. a bolt fitting is like $100 at bass pro i think .30 cal very powerfull friend has one put a pretty big hole on a deer please contact by email only i check it very ofter daily

With an ad like that, it's obvious that I REALLY need one of these, maybe even two or three, but I want them all with the same serial number.

The Curiosity Bug in my head wonders just which model Krag he actually has...... American, Danish or Norwegian. They were all three in production in that year.

Make it uncut and in really good shape, knock that extra "2" off the asking price and you might be getting close for a boltless Krag. Personally, I find that they tend to work a great deal better if they have bolts. Besides, I live 'way out in the sticks: no Bass Pro shop with bags of Krag bolts around here.

Yikes. Someone has no idea of value... a firearm without a bolt is a decoration. Nothing more. Possibly a misstype in the price? $230.00 more like it! Even that is ridiculous. I agree with smellie.

It Happens...

There is an SKS I had my eye on about 2 years ago...popped 'round to look at it. One of the earlier SKS's in from China. They've owned it about 25 years.

"This was Grandpa's sniper rifle...it's worth a 1000". Didn't say a word...in smaller towns, it's better to find another SKS than mar a "Grandpa"'.
