Seized / Stuck Ring Screws

I have a scope that I have to remove; it has the old 3/16" Allen head scews.

I have been unable to remove them.

Has anybody ever had to resort to drilling out a seized screw!?

I went ahead and drilled out the screws. I saw no other option.

Was surprised at how easy it was to do actually.

Next question: where do I buy new screws!?

Any gunsmith should have them.

I've had pretty good luck putting a hot soldering iron tip to the screw for a bit, and then trying to turn them out. If sealant was used, it usually loosens up with heat. Since you got them out, I guess it's something you may want to try on a future stuck one.
