Selecting a barrel

I am in the process of gathering parts for my 338-06 build. This will be strictly a hunting rifle. I am looking for suggestions on a barrel make and length for the build.

Most barrel manufacturers produce a good 338 barrel so the choice of brand will be based on loyalty. Personal choice would be Benchmark barrels.
338-06 is very efficient so a 22" to 24" barrel length would work fine in most hunting rifles.

I cut my 24 inch to 22 inches and only lost 10 f/s (Oehler 35P) with 225 grain bullets. Of all various brands I have set up and dialed in the lathe in the last 10 years, none have been straighter than Gaillard. Some as straight but none better. All of the major makers have good shooting barrels however.
