Although my 1187 looked great solid black, I decided too go out on a limb and try spray painting the handguard and the stock tan :onCrack: I used Krylon Camoflauge Tan spray paint ($6.29 at Canadian Tire) and so far it's turned out to be a solid and durable coat. It dried in less than 10 minutes too.
I think it looks pretty good. Your thoughts? Feel free to be negative; everyone is different
Just for kicks, anybody got some ideas for accessories? Once I can find the &*$# sling I bought I'll add it.
Yes my floor is dirty, I know

Can anybody recommend good mag extenders? I heard something about 5 rounds being the max for semi autos (feel free to debunk that) and if that's true I can only get a +1 extender

Is that part suppose to be hanging out the bottom that far?

Give it a few more coats to get a even finish, and I kinda like it.

give it a few more coats. then give it a coat with a matte clear coat. then it'll be done. i tried painting an old Cooey of mine with the Krylon camo paint. it turned out great, but it's alread chipped and worn out in alot of places. you really need that clear coat to seal the deal.

It looks good but I think all black would look cooler and would not chip in the future. Other than that though it is really only personal taste that makes me say black looks cooler.

Ya don't ask me why. I agree the aesthetics aren't perfect, but if it doesn't affect the action I won't complain. I'm hoping to test fire tomorrow to make sure it was just the missing piston seal that was the problem.

Ya when I work the action it seems to be just fine. I'm not the only one that has the speed feeder sticking out like that. Elimsprint showed me a picture of a set-up the same as mine on an 870 and it sticks out the same way

If it weren't for elimsprint I'd have to post twice as much in these forums just to say the same thing repeatedly. Thanks for cutting my work-load in half
