Sellier and Bellot 12ga 2-5/8"

I've got a 12ga Winchester pump that takes 2 3/4 and 5 in shells I've never heard of 2 5/8 before. Would these work in my gun? Just looking for some cheap slugs to have fun at the range with.
Gauge: 12
Shell Length: 2-5/8"
Slug Type: Special Sport (rifled)
Slug Weight: 1 oz

Never heard of the 2-5/8" ones .... spelling mistake?

I have been using the 2 3/4" ones and they are fun .... light recoil ... but not much penetration.

No, I've seen them on other sites as well. Just never heard of them before.

They are shorter than your chamber why wouldn't they work?

S&B is a Czech company and they produce their shotgun shells with metric measurements.

So in shotgun shells (ball or slug) they produce:

63.5 mm (2.5")

67.5 mm (2.65" - so not exactly our 2 3/4" - more like 2 21/32")

70 mm (2.75 - true 2 3/4") and

76 mm (2.99" - close enough to 3")

Their (birdshot) is all 2 5/8 (2 21/32") or 3" - and that's their "standard" sizes once converted from metric...
