I am posting in this forum because I know that a lot of cross border milsurp selling goes on. I would be selling milsurp parts for firearms as well as militaria.

How do you guys sell across the border? For now I am talking about bits and pieces. Maybe one day the odd handgun or rifle.

How do you get paid? Do you do USPS money order? (FRAUD ALERT)? Other? I am pretty sure they don't do EMT like we do.

Anything that one shouldn't sell into the US, parts wise? I.e. I mean anything illegal? Not interested in that.

What forums/sites do you use?

Another helpful info would be greatly appreciated.

Unless things have changed recently, you will not be able to export a "milsurp" firearm into the US. When I looked into trying to sell a Lee Enfield to an interested US buyer a few years ago, they would only allow exporting to the US of "Sporting Firearms". Anything used by a military anytime could not be exported into the US. The US allows milsurps out of the country but not in.

So all the current surplus rifles being sold by US dealers now......where do they originate from?

You're probably confusing firearms that the US Government considers their property with all military surplus firearms.

Does that mean that I might be able to buy an M1 Garand from a guy that bought it from CMP??? Thanks for any info you can give me on this.

Sure, but that's not what the OP is asking. He's wondering the process of selling to the US.

The process of importing from the US is easy. There's a bunch of business here on CGN that will do it for you, just contact one of them. I would suggest Prophet River or I Run Guns as they seem to do the most frequent imports.

At some unknown time the government may begin importing marking firearms coming to Canada, so I wouldn't wait too long.

I'm curious to hear from other members who have successfully exported to friends in the US in relation to the OP's question. Has anyone here done it?

Regards,
-Steve

I am more interested in selling off parts rather than firearms. Would like to hear what others have done and how they get paid for them.

Parts don't seem to be an issue from what I understand, just be honest on the customs form I'm yet to hear of a problem. Maybe someone else will have different experiences though.
