Semi auto 1919A6

The ones imported by Marstar some dozen years back are still non-restricted in the FRTs. However, recent attempts to produce or import the same firearm have resulted in the RCMP declaring that the new ones would be converted autos. The RCMP lab now claims that to be a semi auto and not a converted auto, all five sides of the receiver box (top, bottom, left and right, and the trunnion) must all be new and not recycled. If they are recycled, then the gun is now considered by them to be a converted auto. Of course, the TNW guns only have a new right sideplate, which is all that is required in the US.

Despite them being the experts in firearms, they claim that as far as they have been told, all five sides of the old imports were brand new. A look at the old FRT entries for these types of guns show that they knew the receivers were made up of surplus parts. Fortunately, the regulations were changed last summer so the lab cannot make changes to an FRT that is more than 1 year old. Time will tell if that protects owners of the M1919 or not.
 
Stencollector couldn't say it any better. And yes you had a legitimate question. There were a few brought in but that seems to have stopped due to the RCMP not liking civvies to have "machine guns"
 
The 1919A6s by TNW were not true A6s. I owned one - they just had the A6 butt stock, carry handle and bipod put on a standard 1919A4. I had to get the A6 muzzle flash after purchase and a true A6 would be lighter.

I ended up trading mine and a TNW MG34 for a SSD FG42. At the time 6k of guns for a 9k gun - now both TNWs would fetch 6k each almost.

And to add - not a dumb question.

Looking at his other posts, this seems to be his typical persona. I doubt he'll be around long, but in the meantime he has been added to my ignore list. I don't think I'll be missing anything too relevant to the discussions here. He has 280 posts in a day, and none of them are worth the electricity or bandwidth one uses to read them.

Read through his posts last night after seeing his name on absolutely everything, It was a good chuckle for sure, To me his persona is that of a 16 boy,
