Semi Auto 22 WMR

Who makes a semi in 22 Mag?? I would prefer a heavy barrel varmint type rifle.

I saw it.. how easy is it to change the barrel??? does any one make prefit barrels for them??? I guess my best bet might be a 10-22 and spend a grand to get what I want..LOL...

You'll never get a regular 10/22 to shoot .22 mag.....and a 10/22 magnum used will run you around that $ bone stock.

The good news is that there is a 10/22 mag clone out now...and I believe it is sold by some of our dealers. Someone step in and refresh me what the make was....magnum research maybe?

Well this is an old thread but ... I just bought a 597 HB 22 Mag off the EE...

Now to find accessories.. any one know where to get triggers and Stocks??

And again can the barrels be swapped easily??

Yep , bought a 22 Magnum Research from Freedom Ventures. Nice gun. trigger was a bit on the heavy side but I fixed that. Shoots one hole at 50 metres with Remington Ammo.

Mine has the Graphite barrel and hogue stock, very light and nice to carry.

Do you want to bet I did it about 8 years back shot not to bad , you need a 10/22 22mag barrel and a lot of time and modification to setback the trigger housing . there used to be alot of discusion on rimfire central about it .
Would I do it again ? Nope . Just go buy a 597 Magnum and shoot

Never say never, there are a few conversions on rimfirecentral, but the guys that build them are pretty tight lipped on the process.
