Slow day at work, so I'm checking out some of the sponsor's sites. Came across the semi-auto machine guns that marstar offers. And I was wondering if they are restricted to 5 rounds?

well a small correction there

any belts or links designed in 1945 or before are exempt from 5 rnd rule

any newer design is limited to 5 rnds

I have an MG34 , they are hard to find and expensive to feed.Marstar does not have any, you will have to look for a used one on the exchange

I did know That Questar had a mg34 and 1919.Do you know what they were asking or what they sold for ?

Thanks

TNW in the US claims they will export them (MG-34's) to Canada, just have to find someone up here who can import, like Marstar or one of the other importers. Better be prepared to fork out at least $4000US for the gun, plus all the import fees, taxes, etc,. On top of all that, there is the chance that you may not even be sucessful in getting it and or wait a long time for all the paper work to clear through customs, CFC, etc,.

8mm Ammo is getting few and far between, has anyone who has these semi-auto mg 34's ever looked into locating 8mm FMJ bullets and reloading their own? The soft point jamms up just about all the time (at least in my WW2 C/A MG-34), and the gun is just not designed to shoot soft-point from what I have experienced. If I were to try and buy an MG-34 (or 42) I would look into finding one that has been converted to .308, at least you can find .308 most of the time.

The MG-34 is an awesome gun and of course one of the most famous guns of all times. Tomorrow I will load up some pictures of mine and tease you guys.

Does Marstar not update their website on purpose just to tease people or what? Their website leads a guy to believe they have all this cool stuff but when you contact them about it they do not have it? Cool web site with lots of goodies but in reality just an empty shell.

I use the pre1945 50 round belts in my Tnw Mg34, has anyone tried the M-13 (m60) links, they are made for 308 but should hold an 8mm mauser.Would they work and are they legal ??

Klunk, there are few people on this site that I am truly jealous of. Very nice collection. :D

The pitch will be wrong...IE....the distance between individual rounds...

'34 and '42 belts are cheap cheap cheap.....marstar sells (I think they still have em) a ammo can....5x50rd belts and starter tab for...$35.00ish

You Bastard Klunk!, OK, I am scrambling around trying to find my camera and some of those accessories I have stashed somewhere around here to take some competitive pictures. That MG 42, is it for sale? By the way, do my pictures necssarily have to be of my 34?
