I own Springfield XDM 9mm and an XD 40. Both are fantastic (and were gun of the year according to the NRA) but are still off the radar with most gun owners and quite inexpensive on EE.
I have never shot the Canik tp9sfx but it was also recently gun of the year from the NRA (https://www.gunsweek.com/en/pistols/news/canik-tp9sfx-handgun-year-2017) and it could be had for almost half the price of the Shadow 2, and if important to you, comes optic ready.
I am sure CZ are as good as everyone else says, but I think the NRA guns of the year is worth considering. For me budget had to match quality and still extremely happy with my choices.
