Semi auto precision

I want a new varmet gun in .243. But i want somthing differnt i want a semi auto. Who has the most accurate semi-auto in .243 this is Kind of a open question but it must be non restricted. and under a grand used or new ( no scope on it just looking for a good gun ) I have a scope to put on it. The BAR is the only firearm that comes to mind when I think of a semi .243 although I'm sure there are other options. If .223 was acceptable you might have more options.

I have a Browning lever action 243 with scope that I am quite happy with. Not quite a semi, but nice short lever travel

Remington might have made 742s in .243, not sure. M1As were made in the calibre, but you aren't going to get one in your price range.
