I had slam fire with my 7.62x39 Bren 2. Super spooky, thank #### was pointed down range.
I believe stopped shooting, I dropped the magazine and ejected the round to pause shooting, and threw that round back on top in the magazine. So technically it got scooped up twice by the bolt and likely tapped twice by the firing pin.
That was a Federal primer. I did pick up some #34s
Floating firing pin is the critical variable no one has touched on.
That said I’ve been reckless and cautiously slammed the bolt down on high 5.56 primers in another bren 2 but no drama. There is a spring around that firing pin.
