Semi-Auto Shotguns

To the OP you are on the right track now you have to decide by feel and features available for yourself.
My next semi would probably be a SX3 or Weatherby Sa-08 dependent entirely upon the availability of a 26" barrelled 12 gauge if I bother to get another.

I bought one of the very first A400 Xplor Unico KO in Canada. It really is an amazing piece of engineering and does everything it promises very well.

But honestly, if I was shopping today, I would consider SX3 or something else. Two personal reasons: first, I am not sure the $1000 worth of extras I paid for over a SX3 are useful to me. Second, it doesn't fit me. Unfortunately, only Remingtons do. My A400 has been sitting in my safe (with only 100 shells through it) for some years.

The moral of the story; if it doesn't fit you, who cares how good of a shotgun it is. You won't be using it often.

I use a Baikal auto, & have a Supersport for clays. The SX#3 is a great gun and holds up well. The Browning is the same gun (mostly). Try some out if you can, see what fits the best. Some very good deals out there for like new used.
