I am looking for an early birthday present for myself, and a semi auto tactical shot gun appears to be the piece to add to the collection. Any ideas or thoughts on what to add to the box? The other thing is I really hate recoil.

I find the Remington 1100 tactical has been one of my favorite semi-shotties so far, great gun if you don't mind being limited to 2 3/4 only. Far less finnincky than the SAT 8 and way less $$$ than the Benelli.

Or make your own Rem 1100 Tactical and save 2-300$, If you don't mind a little engraving...

I went the 1100 route , I wound up with a trap gun and a tactical shotgun with only swapping a few parts .
It worked great for me , YMMV .

Benelli M4. Feeds anything, requires almost no cleaning, and you can weight it down with accessories without problems (unlike others that are recoil operated). And it shoots slugs like laser beams.

With the SAT 8, the gas ports gum up pretty quickly and require FREQUENT cleaning, that really started to get on my nerves. The detachable rear sights detach...a lot. Even with a little lock tight, the muzzle break start to unthread itself after 5 shots or so. Other than that, the ergonomics are great, and its a dead ###y beast to look at!
