Hello;

Looking for a semi-auto shotgun;

1. 12 gauge 3" or chambered for 3 1/2" is ok
2. Interchangeable Chokes
3. Drilled/Tapped/Groved for optics
4. <$1000
5. Open to wood or synthetic.

Any suggestions new or used what my best bet is? My experience with semi-autos is limited to the Remington 1100, which I didn't like and the Browning Auto 5, which I like a lot.

Thanks.

Fit is everything. Handle as many brands as you can. Once you have a few choices keep watching the EE and post a WTB.
There always seems to be a sell off post hunting season and into the winter months. (I found a Franchi Affinity 3 at 1/3 retail this way)

A 930 for around $500 is a fair deal and a good gun. The Baikal is a tank and trouble free ( mine anyhow) also $500. Like said early on try as many makes and models as you can. Fit is the #1 aspect for good shooting.

This is the single most important piece of advise for a new shotgun.

The list of guns that meets your needs is very long.

No experience with them ( x4) but own x1, x2 and x3 plus golds, maxus, a400, sa08, 1187 1100 etc etc and the x3 compared to a mossy is night and day IMHO and it would be a x3 for me for your price range if it fits you right
Cheers

You have a shop full of Turkish made Mossberg 935/930???

Thats extremely odd given that they are made in the USA.

Hard to take comments like this seriously when its full of factually incorrect statements

I don’t think he named those shotguns. Mossberg had and still has other models made in Turkey
