Semi-auto with pistol grip options for deer and moose?

I've fallen in love with pistol grips and would like to get a semi with one for hunting. Unfortunately I cant really find a lot of options under $3k. The xcr-m, modern hunter, etc. Hopefully you guys can help me out
 
One of my hunting buddies has a Remington pump action rifle that he added a pistol grip meant for a Remington shotgun onto.

He's ex military so the pistol grip feels much more at home for him than the wood stock that the gun came with.

I think that the rifle action is the same size as the 20 guage shotgun frame, so if you get a Remington semi or pump gun, you know what style of stock to order...

Seems like http://www.cabelas.ca/product/62688 cabelas has them for under 2K taxes in for some great deer/moose calibers. I'm sure you could find one at one of the supporting vendors at the top.

I also think think the R1 is modular so you could swap out the stock pretty easily if you wanted even more of a pistol grip? Someone else might have to confirm this.
