So I hate to be the one to say even bring this up but one thing that comes to mind for me is what if you bring these things in and then the same thing that is going on with the T-97 happens to the Negev?

For those wondering, the law would restrict the belt feed to 5 rounds maximum, unless you could somehow make it fit a disintegrating link belt that was designed before 1945 (which is the current rule) like MG34/43, a M1919 cloth belt or something (which I highly, highly doubt because 5.56mm will not fit in any of those belts). Which then would have no limitation assumption the belt was of an unmodified design.
Thats a bit of a stretch.
How about CanAM buying up a crapload of old Russian Maxims, stripping them down into kits, and building brand new semi-only right side plates for them.
Sell either as a kit, or re-manufacture into ready to fire semi-only belt-fed (250 round belts!) guns?
I'm up for that.
