Sending Guns to The States for Tuning

I am very interested in having one of my pistols tuned by Gray Guns in the US. Short of driving the gun down there, leaving it for 6-12 weeks then driving back to retrieve it, is there any other legal and not too onerous way to do this?

You can't legally drive and down and leave it without the proper US permits in place. Your existing paperwork you may have for attending shoots does not allow you to leave it there. Because US laws are what prevent you from doing this, US authorities should be contacted for the correct info.

The how-to used to be on the ATF's FAQ page, as I recall. Call the ATF. Add the W's. .atf.gov/
Six to 12 weeks might be optimistic too.

The guns I have sent south have all been sent through Prophet River. No hassle and worry free. Yes there is a cost but to me well worth it.
