Hello everyone, I am 17 years old and am applying for my non restricted PAL, and will be taking the CORE course this summer, I turn 18 in November and i have completed the non restricted course, I heard somewhere that you can send in the application 6 months before you turn 18 then it can be issued on or slightly after your 18th birthday, rather than waiting till I'm 18 and sending it then and waiting for a few months, anyone know if this is true or not or had any personal experience with this? If this is the case then I would be sending it in may, thank you!

Hey LeeWilson, I've never heard of someone sending in their application 6 months early, but I do know you can send it in up to 28 days early, as the won't even open the mail for the required 28 day holding period.
So while you won't be getting your licensed issued to you on your birthday, you'll still be getting it a little bit ahead of the normal time. If you don't have to check any boxes, you should have it within 1-2 months of your birthday.
