I ordered the polymer upper and lower vz58 hand guards from zahal a little while ago and got them today. I installed the lower hand guard but for the life of me i can't figure out how to take the upper wood hand guard off of the metal heat shield. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would prefer not to break the beaver barf to take it off, and i can't find a replacement heat shield online.
