RULES
Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules will govern.
ENTRIES
Entries should be made at least 7 days preceding the firing date. Late entries may be accepted to the range capacity. Entries are limited to 44 competitors. Be sure to indicate your correct NRA classification, and NRA member number. Make entries by contacting Leon Nesja by mail, phone, or email (see “For More Information” above)
MATCH FEES
Adults: $35.00
Juniors: $25.00
You may mail your individual entry with the correct fees to Leon Nesja at the above address, or register on site. Make checks payable to Leon Nesja. These fees include a $9.00 N.R.A. registration fee and all taxes.
TIME OF FIRING
The 2011 North Dakota Long Range Regional Championship will commence firing at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10. The first three of five matches will be fired on Saturday. Matches four and five will be fired Sunday, September 11, starting at 9:00 a.m.. All times are CDT.
SOUVENIR PINS
Will be given to each individual who competes or helps with match operations.
RIFLE
Any Rifle (Rule 3.2), NRA Match Rifle (Rule 3.3), Palma Rifle (Rule 3.3.3), or the Service Rifle (Rule 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2) For F-Class; any rifle, any sight, any reasonable support. See NRA website for F-Class rules.
CLASSIFICATION
The NRA Classification System will be used. Unclassified competitors will fire in the MasterClass. Rule 19.6 - Assigned Classification, or 19.2 - Temporary Classification, may be used in making entry in an NRA Regional tournament.
TARGETS
NRA Official type “Long Range” will be used. F-class targets will be used for F-class.
OPEN BOLT INDICATORS
NRA High Power Rifle Rule 3.21 requires the mandatory use of open bolt indicators for all sanctioned tournaments. They will be available from the Range Officer for $1.00.
SIGHTING SHOTS
Unlimited sighting shots (Rule 9.2a) are allowed. However, all sighting shots and record shots must be taken within the time allowed. Coaching is allowed before, but not after the first record shot.
PIT AND SCORING DUTIES
All competitors will perform pit duty (or provide a pit puller), as well as shoot and score.
SQUADDING
Squadding for the Regional Long Range Individual Championship will be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., Saturday, September 10, at the Club House.

DAY 1 - September 10, 2011

Match # 1: 1,000 Yards - PRONE - Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record in a total time limit of 30 minutes using Any Rifle/Any Sights, NRA Match Rifle, Palma Rifle, or Service Rifle.
Match # 2: 1,000 Yards - PRONE - Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record in a total time limit of 30 minutes using Any Rifle/Iron Sights, NRA Match Rifle, Palma Rifle, or Service Rifle.

THE REGIONAL LONG RANGE INDIVIDUAL F-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP
The F-Class Championship will be fired concurrently with the above matches. Any rifle, (rule 3.2), any sight, any reasonable support. Sandbags front and/or rear, bipods, tripods, etc. are accepted; however, no machine rests, “rail guns”, “Lead Sleds”, or return-to-battery guns are allowed. The rifle must be fired from the shoulder (Rule 5.3). Caliber limited to less than or equal to 0.35 (Rule 3.2). No muzzle brakes are allowed (Rule 3.16.1). F-Class targets will be used. Indicate on your entry if you wish to fire F-Class. F-Class awards will be provided. Ask the Match Director or Range Officer for a print-out of F-Class Rules. F-Class competitors are urged to go to N.R.A. website and download.

CHALLENGES
The challenge fee will be $1.00 per challenge.
CATEGORIES AND CLASSES IN AGGREGATE MATCHES
Separate class awards will be given in each of two categories in the Service Rifle Division: Civilian and Service. The Service category will include all Reserve and Active components, subject to the conditions of the award schedule. In the Match Rifle Division, there will be no separate categories, only class awards. Service competitors will be eligible under Rules 2.5, 2.6, and 2.7. All others will compete as Civilians.
CATEGORIES AND CLASSES IN FIRED MATCHES
At a minimum, awards to Match winner and 1st in each class will be given. Classes other than High Master will be combined if fewer than 5 entries; and if fewer than 5 High Masters are entered they will shoot for Match Winner only. Categories as outlined above will be maintained if possible and every attempt will be made to maintain NRA classes.
AWARD DISPOSITION
There must be four or more entries in a Class for one award, 8 or more for two awards and 13 or more for three awards. If there are fewer than five High Masters entered, they must fire for Match Winner awards only. The High Master class may not be combined with the Master Class. An award will be provided in the “F” class if there are at least 4 “F” class shooters.
If there are fewer than the required number of entries in a class to provide awards, they will be combined with the same class in another category. If there are still fewer than 5 entries after combining all categories of a class, there will be NO AWARDS provided in that class, and all competitors in the lower class will be moved back to their respective category in the next higher class, until there are a minimum of 5 competitors in the combined class.
For instance: If, in the Sharpshooter Class there are only 3 Civilian Service Rifle shooters entered, they will be combined with the Sharpshooter Match Rifle shooters. If the total of Civilian Service Rifle and Match Rifle shooters is less than 5, they will be combined with the Sharpshooter Service category. If this combination results in a class of more than 5 entries, a 1st Sharpshooter award will be given. If in combining all three categories, there are still less than 5 shooters, there will be no awards in the Sharpshooter class and competitors will be moved to the Expert Class and their respective categories.
An individual winning a place award - Winner, Second, or Third, Open - shall be entitled to Special Awards for which he/she is qualified but may not win a category/class award in the same match.
SPECIAL AWARDS CATEGORIES
