Sorry for the picture quality, I turned the flash off because it was sunny. 4 x 3 - 163 lbs back from butcher without the neck. Was a real nice animal.

Thanks Levi and Yep, worried me alot. Since it was only day 1 of my hunt and I was alone, I had 2 big blocks of ice back in my cooler in camp. I cut the animal in half and made 2 trips to pack it out. Once skinned and bagged I put a block of ice in each cavity and left for home right away, put it in my freezer (which was empty) overnight and to the butcher cooler the following day. I got it back and found it perfect, didn't go off at all. Really a nice eating animal.Levi Garrett said:Nice buck in velvet, any worries on hot temps, and the meat?
I did a basic euro mount on the skull and horns. I had quite a hike and had enough weight to pack (2 trips) so decided to leave the cape with the guts. The velvet didn't last very long with the hike, so I stripped it and now have a white rack on the mount, I will prolly stain it later.northwoodslivin said:Very nice!
Do you plan on mounting the head?
