Serial number lookup

Folks. I need some guidance because my Smith & Wesson revolver book does not cover a certain serial number range.
My Model 64-3, retrofitted with a 6 inch target barrel and adjustable sights, has a number my reference book does not cover. Pretty much ends in DD prefix. However, mine has E prefix.
Unpinned barrel. (doesn't really matter actually) I know it's at least post '82.
Ballpark to a year would be nice))

"Model 64-3 .38 Military & Police Stainless Heavy Barrel was probably manufactured in 1984. The serial range for 1983 was 17D8901 to 21D0883. The standard Catalog of S&W then notes the last serial number before the change to the three letter four digit format was 30D9291. So 1984, maybe tailing into 1985."
