looking for the proper shim size to convert my series 80 to a series 70 sig sauer 1911, has anybody done this on a sig 1911? the reason i ask, there are plenty of shim width sizes out there, and i dont want to waste money on the wrong one.

thanks in advance

its 5 lb, i fired a simple colt series 70, and the trigger is out of this world better than my sig. Mind you, its still a 1911 trigger and its still tonnes better than my glocks, m&p, cz's etc etc...., but i want it to be as nice as my single action pull on my model 27, and thats definately not possible with the useless firing pin safety in the way. so anybody out there wiuth an answer not a question?

I have a Sigsauer TTT. At first, the trigger pull was just under 6lbs, and scratchy as hell. I was really chocked. Then I stoned the sear and hammer, that got it down to 4 1/2 lb. I still had some creep. I gave it to a gunsmith, that took care of the creep and another 1/2lb less trigger pull. No I'm at 4lb and a nice crisp trigger, with all the series 80 guts still in place.

cool, im aiming for a 2-3 lb pull at most, which like i said, is pretty much only possible with the 80 series crap out of the equasion, that little spring on the end of the firing pin plunger creates a heck of a resistance
