I was invited to the Salmon Arm shooting range last Tuesday with H4831 and my long time friend who signed up for the club.
Allot of powder was consumed as well as some good old b.s.
Great range and we were spoiled for most of the day.
Just us and the sunshine.
We had enough stuff there to almost start a war.
Really had to dust off some of our long forgotten critters.
My buddy told Bruce that he had some firearms that could out shoot him.
That comment was good for a grin and a giggle.
H4831 declined to fire off some of our weapons of mass destruction but eye think he took a hankering to the Ruger 22-250.
Just let me explain to you as I have seen some good shooting in my time and none that I would profess to. My eyes just won't allow me to do that sort of thing. Hunting shots I suppose.
Anyways, good ole' H4831 pounds three rounds out of this 22-250 that he has never shot before.
Spotting scope just seen a large hole.
Red flag down and green one up and a stroll to the hundred yard mark we go. Well talk about two younger chaps getting a whoopazzz.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Git um up here Keemosabee.
These three shots were witnessed by myself and the new club member.
Hope to get him on this site as well.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting you Bruce and thanks for signing my (your) book. That book you wrote is also a tale on it's own. Great read.
Regards for now.
PS.....There is a rumor that H4831 just had a L???5 birthday last Thursday.
Happy Birthday and don't forget to save some brain cells for old age.
;)

I'm working on him.
I emailed him the photos from my camera and I don't do photo bucket
and transplanting them here very well.
I'm sure he'll post them.
I didn't wish to take the moment away from him.
Hell, hiz shooting he should have the glory.
Didja wish him a happy birthday?
I did this thread without the coffee kick this morning.
Forgive me if it's in the wrong forum.
Regards.

It seems like Kamlooky and PhotoBucket are having a bit of a personality clash.
So I will come to the resucue and post the picture he wanted to. I'm holding the target in question while Bart, whose Ruger rifle I used, looks on. Kamlooky took the picture. Those two are from Kamloops, but Bart bought a membership in the Salmon Arm Fish and Game Club, to get access to our range. Welcome guys, you are certainly an asset to the club and experienced range users.

Good job Bruce, and a belated Happy Birthday to You.
Sounds like you had a great day at the range with two fine guys.
Thanks to your efforts and patience I can post pics, and believe me if I can so can anyone else.....tell Kamlooky it will work for him. ;)

Bruce is a personal friend, and I know he can shoot!! We used to compete at the Salmon Arm Rifle Rodeo when it was still running. Many a good time was had. He also has authored a very interesting book on Bush piloting in the north. It is worth reading. Regards, Eagleye.

Do you have the name of this book? I'd like to buy it :)

Damn fine shootin Bruce.

PS- Try not to look so pissed off in your photo's :p :D

Thanks for the shooting comment and I've heard the other one before.
However, you have to admit that it would be hard to compete with that fine shot of Bart!
And it is not a pissed off feeling, it's just that I don't seem to be built for major grins.

Thanks all you guys, you're a great bunch.
There is probably 25 CGN that have the book. When Kamlooky came over from Kamlops the other day, I signed the copy he had.
Here is the publishers address that goes directly to my book.

http://www.hancockhouse.com/products/outbus.htm

They let you read the first chapter on there.
However, it is currently sold out and the publisher told me it may be a year before they make another large printing.
In the meantime, anyone that would like to, could email the publisher and ask about getting it. Maybe if enough asked, they wouold hurry it up!
A while ago, Amazon Canada books had a few copies.
Thanks again, Bruce

I'd love to get a copy of your book Bruce. I'll put a bug in the pulisher's ear for sure. Ever meet a guy by the name of Bill Lopaschuk?

Email sent to sales @Hancokhouse.com

Come on boys get on this, lets get those presses rolling.

Happy Birthday Bruce. :D
