Okay black rifle lovers (especially in the Greater Moronto Area):

Service CQB is coming up for the 2010 season with a very busy schedule lined up including Clinics and Matches!

Here is the schedule:

http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=443689

It's found in the Service Rifle Forum (at the top sticky(ies)) and all the details for you newbies to come out and play are there. Here's a chance to really get the most out of your black rifle and pistol.

This is my rig:

* 5.11 Plate carrier (yes, steel plates are present) :p
* Specialty Defense FLC2 worn over the plate carrier :cool:
* PMags pinned to 5.5 rds (allows mag insertion on a forward bolt)
* MICH helmet (only for effect), you don't need one :D I'm just :nest: all of you!
* Armalite 16" middy carbine, Falcon Merlin 1.5 x 5 x 30mm scope (illuminated)
* SIG P226 9mm with 2 magazines (that's all you will need)

Post your pics of your rig for some of you experienced Service CQB dudes! :D

Any of you have any questions about :

* Matches, clinics
* Gear (what works , what looks good in the mirror)
* ammo count
* more matches? Distances? Location?

Let the fun begin! :dancingbanana:

:cheers:

Barney

I'm going to try to show up. I've got to arrange time off. What's the overall round count expected to be?

Hungry here: Piles of ammo! No joking... head over to the sticky (follow the hotlink) :D

How many mags per stage maximum ? I'm hoping to use my 3-gun molle belt config, which currently has 2 AR shingles and 2 pistol mags on it. I'm running LAR mags, and a Redi-Mag on the carbine, so loadout would be 4 carbine mags and 3 pistol mags for 70 rds total. That going to be enough ?

Hungry here: For Service CQB, yes a couple of shingles with 4 or 5 mags of 5 rds are fine. Yes, we will force you to use rds in those 10 rounders for the magazine changes. You want to get good don't you? We'll get you there! Pistol mags? 2 are all you need. Your 3 gun molle belt config is already to go by the sounds of it! ;)

I'll be there if I can get the old bod moving somehow :dancingbanana: Here's some of the hardware I'm hoping to use this summer:

P1050581.jpg

20" AR15 w/Falcon 1.5-4 for Service Rifle matches, 16" AR15 w/ACOG and 9mm CZ85for CQB matches :p Under the new SR rules, I'm going to have to re-think my hardware setup though. Probably put the Falcon on the 16" bbl'd AR.

Alex, last year, I had a great time, but seeing you bring the entire family along to shoot made my weekend!:D

I wonder if Plink has stopped swearing at me yet, "Who's the bas$%^d who was firing steel cases?"

Have a good time all.
