I'm a big fan of goal setting for service rifle and follow Bassham's methods among others. I was wondering what peoples goals are for service rifle shooting for 2012?
Mine would be to win the BCRA again while beating my personal best and win the upcoming Blair shoot which will be run in BC for 39cbg. Also that Queen's medal is still calling my name so I'd like to get back to Ottawa and Cfsac.

I will dominate the BCRA SR championship
I will dominate the Blair shoot.
I will bring home my second QM.

I coasted last year. This year I am running the 2009 plan again.
 
My goal is:

--get better with pistol, get at least one 5 score
--get all pistol rounds fired before the "And Stop"
--to get more 5's in CQB in general, maybe I can even get up to the half way point on the list of scores...
--hit the bull at 800 yards.
--hit at least one moving target at 400 yards.

Maybe I should stop there, keep the list achievable.

Yes this list must be things that are achievable. Baby steps!Sounds good though.
 
Hah hah, what funny timing for this post! for the past three days I've been making lists and budgeting re:reloading for shoots this year! I want to attend all the SR shoots I can, here and finally in Ontario, and the tac rifle and Service pistol shoots as well!
We've got what, 3 months practice time before the first SR shoots out here in BC?
I've gotta get out to the range more!!!
That, and win the lottery.
Who wants to be my ammo sponsor?!! lol...

I just want to do better than the last year.

No long list out yet for Bisley? How close were you?

Buzz I'm heading to the range tommorow morning (monday) but I'm shooting the 6xc.Welcome to come if you arent working yet?
 
Showing up would be a good goal for me this year... The only shoot I made it to in 2011 was the BC Tactical Rifle Championship but that went pretty good. Maybe now I can get back to service rifle and pistol ;)
