Set Screw for flash hider -Ruger 10/22.

I recently dropped and lost the tiny set screw that tightens the flash hider onto the barrel .
Anyone know the size of the set screw? From the hole in the flash hider it seems like about 3.5mm wide and about 5 mm long.
Where could I get another one?

Sorry, I don’t know the size, but there’s a really really good chance it’s 6-48 (#6 48TPI) which is just about 3.5mm. This is a standard gun screw, and should be easy to find online, but not so easy to find at the hardware store.

The other possibility is 8-32, but that’s noticeably bigger than 3.5mm.

The real question is what flash are you hiding on a 10/22?

I've always thought those things were to add some flash to a 10/22

If all else fails crazy glue may hold it on. I did for me.
